Robert Bridger is the only son of Carol and Nathan Bridger. His reported death while killed in action causes Nathan Bridger to reexamine his life, where he decides to withdraw from public life and his own Navy career circa mid-2010s CE, while seaQuest DSV 4600's underwent construction by Nor-Pac.

Bridger had been friends with Benjamin Kreig during their time at the Naval academy, where he confided in Kreig his belief that "anyone would be lucky to have a father" like Nathan Bridger (DSV: "To Be or Not to Be").

Upon returning to Earth in 2032 CE, Nathan Bridger discovers that he has a grandson, Michael Bridger, who resides on Bridger's Island sometime within the decade following seaQuest DSV 4600-II's disappearance circa 2022 CE. The revelation that Bridger had faked his own death for nearly two decades spurs his father's search for those reasons, and causes him to subsequently relinquish command of seaQuest to Captain Oliver Hudson (2032: "Brave New World").

Notes[edit | edit source]

Robert Bridger never appears on screen, and so is regarded as a mentioned-only character.
