Lieutenant S. Obatu is a weapon's officer aboard seaQuest DSV 4600 during the 2018-2019 CE tour.
Obatu is the weapons officer on duty during seaQuest's interception of a Romeo-class mini-submarine carrying refugee youths, under the false impression by the Amazonian Confederation that they were diamond smugglers (DSV: "The Good Death").
Obatu is present at Nathan Bridger's final speech aboard seaQuest commemorating the crew's service during the 2018-2019 CE tour. Obatu later helps evacuate seaQuest prior to its destruction, taking hold of a handle of the dolphin stretcher as Darwin is evacuated aboard a sea launch (DSV: "Higher Power").
