Florida Marlins are a baseball team that Lucas Wolenczak had been an aficionado.

Wolenczak often wore some kind of baseball memorabilia as part of his civilian wardrobe during his time aboard seaQuest DSV 4600. His Marlin's jersey is of note as he wears it upon meeting Nathan Bridger near the moon pool, where Bridger is introduced to Wolenczak's invention of the vocoder (DSV: "To Be or Not to Be").

Notes

  • The Florida Marlins were established in 1991 but began playing competitively in 1993, the same year seaQuest DSV entered production. The team changed its name to the Miami Marlins in 2012.
  • Wolenczak's jersey notes that they won the World Series in 2010 CE. The Florida Marlins would later win the World Series Championships of 1997, a year after seaQuest's cancellation, and later in 2003.
