This template produces an apostrophe that is automatically escaped via <nowiki></nowiki> tags, thus preventing accidental bolding or other unintentional text formatting, particularly when following an article that is to be italicized.
Usage

For articles that require a "s" to follow the apostrophe.

For articles that do not require a "s" to follow the apostrophe, e.g. words that end with the letter "s."
