Chief Petty Officer '''K. Carleton''' is the chief helmsman aboard ''seaQuest DSV 4600'' during the [[2018 tour]] under Captain [[Nathan Bridger]].

As Seaman First Class, he is the lead navigator during engagements with [[Marilyn Stark]]'s [[Delta 4|''Delta 4'']] renegade submarine while she wages her campaign of vengeance against ''seaQuest'' {{Ep|To Be or Not to Be}}.

As Chief Petty Officer, Carleton oversaw the rescue of a French mini-sub from a ''seaQuest''-sized freshwater sinkhole, despite the ship's systems being damaged by a freak lightning strike via a tethered up-world [[communications buoy]] {{Ep|Bad Water}}.

Carleton is later replaced by [[William Shan]] as chief helmsman approximately midway through the 2018 tour.
